English cricketer Zak Crawley looks to excel in white-ball cricket

1 min read

Zak Crawley has carved a niche for himself in England’s Test team under the leadership of Ben Stokes and the guidance of head coach Brendon McCullum.

With an impressive record of over 1,000 runs in 13 matches since the beginning of 2023, Crawley’s aggressive batting style has often set the tone for quick starts.

Despite his stellar performance in Tests, the 26-year-old has yet to make his mark in England’s white-ball squads, missing out on selection for both the 50-over World Cup last year and the upcoming Twenty20 edition.

Expressing his desire to excel in white-ball cricket, Crawley, who has featured in eight one-day internationals but no T20Is for England, shared his aspirations.

While acknowledging his focus on test cricket in recent years, he emphasised his eagerness to contribute in all formats for his country.

Working diligently on refining his skills, Crawley aims to enhance his power-hitting abilities, aiming to send more balls sailing over the boundary ropes.
