Nauman Ijaz a veteran figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry has sparked a conversation about the detrimental effects of contemporary television dramas on the sanctity of relationships.

Known for his stellar performances in a myriad of iconic dramas, Ijaz recently made headlines for his candid remarks on the state of Pakistani television content.

In a clip from a digital show, ” Ijaz voiced his apprehensions about the prevailing themes in Pakistani dramas, asserting that they are contributing to the erosion of familial bonds and values. ”

Our dramas are destroying relationships,” he lamented, expressing a desire to impose a ban on such content if given the authority.

Highlighting the pervasive negativity and portrayal of relationships in a disparaging light, Ijaz emphasized the need for accountability in content creation. “The relationships are being disgraced in the dramas,” he remarked, noting with concern the lack of public outcry against regressive content.

Ijaz also criticized the popular drama “Nand” for its portrayal of familial dynamics, citing it as an example of the prevalence of negative portrayals of relationships. Beyond his critique of the industry, Ijaz revealed his approach to selecting roles, stating that he refrains from delivering certain types of dialogue that he deems objectionable.
