Muhammad Zamir Assadi, a senior Pakistani journalist, is in Beijing covering the Two Sessions. He shared his observations on the significance of this year’s meetings.
“I think this is a very important and historical time for China,”Assadi said.“The Two Sessions offer a window of opportunity for the international community to look into how China has completed its 14th Five-Year Plan and what lies ahead.”
“I always believe that China’s Two Sessions do not only belong to the Chinese people. They also belong to the international community, because China is partnering with hundreds of countries across the globe,”he added.
Assadi described this year’s Two Sessions as“confident, people-centered, and much focused on development.”He emphasized that the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan is of great significance, offering development opportunities for many countries.
