Actress and television host Nadia Khan has said that playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar once wrote exceptional dramas but that his recent work has become difficult to watch.
She made the remarks during her appearance on the Ramzan Mein Hansna Mana Hai aired on Geo Entertainment, where she participated as a guest and shared her views on various topics.
During a segment in which the host displayed photographs of several public figures, including media personalities and political leaders, Khan offered light-hearted advice.
However, when Qamar’s image was shown, she gave a more direct response, expressing concern over the portrayal of women in his scripts.
Khan said that while the writer had previously delivered strong content, she would now advise him to ensure women are depicted in a positive manner in his dramas. She added that repeated negative portrayals become difficult for viewers, especially those who review dramas multiple times, and urged writers to present women in a more constructive light.
