Pakistan’s former cricket stars Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Akhtar have expressed concern over the health of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Shahid Afridi, currently in Bahrain, said in response to a query regarding Khan’s health that access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. He emphasized that Imran Khan and his family should have the freedom to seek medical treatment wherever they wish.
Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar posted on X that he has been raising funds in the United States for the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital over the past three months. He expressed deep concern over reports of Khan’s deteriorating eyesight.
Akhtar added that he hopes Khan receives the best possible treatment and prayed for his speedy recovery.
