Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday held a meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who briefed him in detail on the overall security situation of the country.
The interior minister informed the prime minister about the prevailing law and order environment across the country, with particular focus on the current situation in Islamabad. Matters related to security arrangements and administrative measures in the federal capital also came under discussion.
The prime minister directed the interior minister to ensure that the security situation in Islamabad and other related matters are handled in an effective and efficient manner.
The meeting also discussed Mohsin Naqvi’s upcoming visit to Sri Lanka. During the visit, he will convey a special message from the prime minister to the Sri Lankan president.
