China and the United States continue to maintain close communication on economic and trade matters, a Chinese commerce ministry spokesperson said Thursday.
He Yadong stated at a regular briefing that the economic and trade teams of both countries have exchanged views on implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state at their Busan meeting, as well as on outcomes from consultations in Kuala Lumpur, while also addressing mutual concerns in trade and economic fields.
He emphasized that China is willing to strengthen dialogue, properly manage differences, and expand pragmatic cooperation with the U.S., based on equality, respect, and mutual benefit, to promote healthy, stable, and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
