The Cholistan Desert is set to become a hub of speed and excitement as the 21st International Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally officially kicks off today. The thrilling competition will continue until February 15.
According to the organizers, both national and international racers will showcase their skills on the fully cleared race track, while stringent security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a safe and smooth event.
Cultural programs will also be held alongside the rally to introduce tourists to the traditional vibrancy and heritage of the desert.
A police spokesperson stated that a comprehensive security plan has been implemented, with 2,000 officers deployed to safeguard participants and visitors. Additionally, 400 personnel under the supervision of the DSP Traffic will manage road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow. Mobile field hospitals and 4×4 ambulances will be on standby to handle any emergencies.
The Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally is not only a major sporting event but also considered a significant platform for promoting tourism and local culture in the region.
