On the special directives of the prime minister, Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched an additional humanitarian aid consignment for the people of Palestine.

The 28th relief consignment, comprising 100 tons of tents, was sent with the support of the Alkhidmat Foundation. The relief goods were dispatched through a special flight from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, to Al-Arish, Egypt, for onward delivery to Gaza.

With the dispatch of the latest consignment, the total volume of humanitarian assistance sent to Palestine through 28 consignments has reached 2,727 tons.

The sending-off ceremony was attended by Punjab Housing Minister and MPA Mian Bilal Yasin as the chief guest. Senior officials from the NDMA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with representatives of other government departments and the Alkhidmat Foundation, were also present.

The government and people of Pakistan stand firmly with the people of Palestine in this difficult time and will continue to make every possible effort to support them and address their humanitarian needs.
