Senior actor Imran Qureshi became emotional while recalling the financial hardships he faced in life, saying his biggest regret was not being able to provide comfort to his mother during difficult times.
The actor recently appeared on a private television programme where he spoke candidly about the painful phases of his life. Responding to a question from the host about whether he had any regrets, Imran Qureshi reflected on his sudden financial downfall.
“I was born into a very wealthy family and never experienced poverty in my early life. My mother lived like a queen,” he said. “But about 20 years ago, life took a turn and our financial situation became extremely difficult. My biggest regret was that I could not provide my mother with the facilities she deserved.”
He recalled that there were times when arranging daily meals became a serious concern for the family. “Today, the situation is better, but the sadness remains because my mother is no longer with us,” he added.
Sharing further details, the senior actor said his financial condition deteriorated to the point where he was forced to work in his own shop as an employee. He also revealed that he worked at a clothing store where he was asked to clean glass shelves and wash dishes.
“I cried a lot during that time,” Imran Qureshi said, describing the emotional toll of the experience.
