The Pakistan Sports Board has announced that each member of the national hockey team will receive a daily allowance of $115.

The board has directed its Finance Department to release the payments before the team’s departure to ensure that players do not face any difficulties during the international tour.

Speaking to the media, Director General of PSB Muhammad Yasir Pirzada said the daily allowance has been approved in line with the government-sanctioned budget and will apply to Pakistan’s participation in the FIH Pro League.

He added that despite financial constraints, the PSB has reallocated funds from various sources to ensure timely payments for the foreign tour, aiming to provide better arrangements for the players.

National hockey team captain Imad Butt welcomed the announcement and thanked the Director General for personally addressing the players’ concerns. He said that previous discussions had already produced positive results, and under the current government-approved budget, the new allowance rate is appropriate. He highlighted that the most important matter of daily allowances has now been resolved.

The Pakistan hockey team will compete in the second phase of the FIH Pro League, facing Australia on February 10, Germany on February 11, Australia again on February 13, and Germany on February 14.
