Veteran Pakistani filmmaker and screenwriter Nasser Adeeb has shared new details about the secret marriage of acclaimed director Syed Noor and actress Saima.
Known for writing films like Moula Jatt and The Legend of Moula Jatt, Nasser Adeeb has gained popularity on digital platforms for his candid insights on the film industry. In a recent podcast for The Blue Truth Digital, he discussed his knowledge of Saima and Syed Noor’s private union.
Adeeb revealed that while he was initially unaware of their relationship, he later learned about their marriage through a film producer and close friend of the couple, Karamat Gujar. He noted that much of the industry had opposed the union, as several directors had hoped to marry Saima themselves.
Reflecting on his initial reaction, Adeeb said he was surprised but not upset. He explained that reading a verse from the Quran helped him reconcile with the marriage, affirming that a virtuous woman is suited for a virtuous man. Adeeb described Saima as a modest and principled person, free from scandal except for her relationship with Syed Noor.
He added that although he initially opposed the marriage, he later let go of all resentment and now maintains a neutral stance, emphasizing that Saima’s choice reflected her own qualities and values.
