The Islamabad Marathon concluded successfully, featuring strong participation from both domestic and international runners across five categories.
The event included full marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a children’s marathon, with the race starting at F-9 Park. The route passed through Jinnah Avenue and D-Chowk before finishing back at F-9 Park.
Runners from 30 countries took part, giving the marathon an international profile. Winners in each category received cash prizes and were awarded medals for their performance.
Organizers said the large participation by both local and foreign athletes elevated the marathon’s status globally.
