China expressed deep condolences to the victims of a shopping mall fire in Karachi, Pakistan, and extended sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said Thursday.
Speaking at a news briefing, Guo wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Local officials reported that the death toll from the fire in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi has risen to 60, after at least 30 bodies were recovered from a shop in the multi-storey building.
