Three-time world champion Mohammad Asif has won the National Bank Golden Jubilee National Snooker Championship, claiming his fifth national title.

The final of the 50th National Snooker Championship was held at the National Bank Sports Complex between Mohammad Asif and Rana Irfan. Despite posting two century breaks, Rana Irfan could not secure victory.

The 11-frame final was intense and competitive. Rana Irfan of Punjab scored 112 in the second frame and 141 in the seventh frame—the highest break of the championship—but still fell short against Mohammad Asif. Asif made eight century breaks throughout the tournament.

At the conclusion of the championship, prizes worth 1.6 million PKR were distributed by Rahmat Husnain, President of National Bank; Abdul Qadir Memon, President of PBSA; and Alamgir Sheikh.

Mohammad Asif, who has also won Asian and SAARC titles, expressed that despite winning numerous accolades for Pakistan, he has yet to receive the full announced prize money and believes his achievements have not been adequately recognised.
