Pakistan Sports Board takes over oversight of hockey club scrutiny

1 min read

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has issued a notice to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), stating that the scrutiny of hockey clubs will be conducted only under PSB supervision.

According to the PSB, the PHF released a schedule for club scrutiny without consultation, which is considered unauthorized and has caused confusion among stakeholders.

The PSB emphasized that the scrutiny process will follow transparent procedures and will be conducted strictly according to the board’s decisions and oversight. The federation has been asked to issue an immediate clarification to ensure transparency in hockey administration.

The PSB added that the PHF’s recent actions have affected trust and transparency within the sport. It reiterated that all stakeholders must be included in the scrutiny process only under proper and formal instructions.
