NA Speaker leads parliamentary delegation to China

ISLAMABAD (Internews): A parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, is visiting the People’s Republic of China from January 19 to January 21, 2026, on the special invitation of the Chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of China, Mr. Zhao Leji.

The visit marks the first state-level and maiden official visit of the Pakistani Parliament in the year 2026 to the friendly People’s Republic of China.  the visit of Parliament delegation coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, a milestone reflecting the enduring and time-tested friendship between the two countries.

In recognition of this historic occasion, Pakistan and China have agreed to commemorate the anniversary in a befitting and meaningful manner through the organization of a series of joint events throughout the year. The Parliamentary Delegation led by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will hold meetings with the parliamentary and political leadership of China, focusing on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and further deepening bilateral ties.

Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam; the Convenor of the Pakistan–China Parliamentary Friendship Group, MNA Mr. Muhammad Numan, Parliamentary Secretary, Ms. Zeb Jaffar; and MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidery are part of Pakistani Parliamentary delegation led by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
