Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) has unanimously elected Colonel Nabeel Ahmed Rana as its new president, while Najia Rasool was chosen as the general secretary.

During the PTF General Council meeting, Secretary of the Army Fitness and Sports Directorate, Colonel Nabeel Ahmed Rana, was elected president unopposed. Known for his strong command in sports administration and effective management, his election is seen as a positive step toward institutional strengthening and better governance of Taekwondo in Pakistan.

In his address, newly elected PTF President Colonel Nabeel Ahmed Rana thanked the council members for their trust and assured that he would work with full dedication, vision, and commitment to elevate Pakistan Taekwondo to new heights both nationally and internationally.

He highlighted priorities including athlete welfare, grassroots development, capacity building, and expanding international opportunities for players and officials.

The election follows the resignation of former PTF President Lieutenant Colonel (R) Raja Wasim Ahmed, who stepped down after receiving a final warning from the Pakistan Sports Board over violations of the sports policy.
