The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi has directed the provincial transport department to complete the printing of over 117,000 pending driving license cards across the province within one month.
The transport department has issued a district-wise schedule for the printing and delivery of the licenses. According to the official notice, the concerned authorities have been instructed to ensure the distribution of driving license cards according to the specified dates.
In Hazara Division, the printing process will be completed in the first week of January 2026. In Malakand Division, pending licenses for Swat, Dir, and Buner are expected to be delivered by mid-January 2026. In Peshawar Division, the delivery of licenses will be completed between January 23 and 26, 2026.
For Kohat Division, delivery is expected by January 29, while Bannu Division will complete issuance by January 30. Pending licenses in Mardan and Dera Ismail Khan Divisions will also be delivered by January 30, 2026.
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi emphasized that providing public services remains a top priority for the current government, warning that no negligence in implementation will be tolerated.
