Pakistan’s Rashid Naseem made history in 2025 by setting 25 new world records in just one year, reinforcing his position as the country’s top record-holder.
According to official data from Guinness World Records, Naseem remains Pakistan’s leading record-breaker, with 25 of the 43 total global records set by Pakistani athletes in 2025 credited to him. Overall, Naseem and his family account for 31 of these records.
Rashid Naseem achieved new records in skipping, nan chaku, marble tile breaking, and boxing panel breaking categories. His daughter Fatima Naseem set four records, while his wife Saba Rashid and 73-year-old father Naseemuddin contributed one record each.
Apart from Rashid, nine other Pakistani athletes set world records during the year, including Irfan Mehmood with six, Mohammad Arshad with two, and Sufyan, Wajahat, Shah Zeb, and Abdul Basit each contributing one. Additionally, one record was established by a private company.
Rashid also represented Pakistan in international shows in Italy, Romania, and Spain, elevating the country’s profile in the global record-breaking community.
For context, Rashid Naseem had already set over 28 world records in 2024, making him one of Pakistan’s most celebrated athletes on the international stage.
