According to Rescue authorities, a bus collided with a rickshaw near Shahkot Road in Nankana Sahib after visibility dropped sharply due to thick fog. As a result of the crash, three people lost their lives while three others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shahkot for medical treatment.

Officials said the deceased were identified as 14-year-old Sajjad, 20-year-old Waqar and 20-year-old Shakeel.
In another incident in Okara, a passenger bus collided with cars amid dense fog, leaving 12 people injured. The injured included two women and ten men, all of whom were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Separately, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in the Nankana Sahib accident and extended condolences to the bereaved families.

She urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy conditions and stressed strict adherence to safety measures and traffic rules for essential travel. The chief minister said every human life is valuable and appealed to the public to ensure their own safety as well as that of others while travelling.
