Pakistani youth Ahsan Yaseen emerged victorious in the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Youth Camel Race, held as part of the 54th edition of the Sharjah Camel Racing Festival. The event saw participation from young riders representing over 50 countries.
The 18-year-old completed the 2-kilometre race in 3 minutes and 47 seconds, securing the Golden Camel Trophy. He also earned a cash prize of 50,000 dirhams, equivalent to approximately 3.8 million Pakistani rupees.
Starting the race from the sixth position, Yaseen surged ahead to clinch first place. Alongside his victory, he continues to pursue engineering studies and receives professional training at the Heritage Centre in Dubai.
Speaking after his win, Ahsan Yaseen expressed his joy, saying that seeing Pakistan’s green crescent-and-star flag raised during the event was an “indescribable happiness.”
