Pakistan has strongly condemned any attempts to undermine the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia, rejecting Israel’s recent announcement recognizing the so-called independence of Somaliland, a region within the Federal Republic of Somalia.
In an official statement, Pakistan described such actions as illegal and provocative, noting that they constitute a blatant violation of international law. The statement emphasized that these moves not only threaten Somalia’s peace and stability but also pose risks to the broader region. Pakistan called on the international community to reject such actions and prevent any attempts to derail ongoing efforts for peace and stability.
Reiterating its stance, Pakistan affirmed complete support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia, along with backing all initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the country.
The statement also reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm rejection of any steps that could lead to the forced displacement of Palestinians. Pakistan emphasized its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle for self-determination and for the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
