Pakistan’s victorious Under-19 cricket team, fresh from their Asia Cup triumph over India, will depart for Zimbabwe tonight to participate in upcoming international competitions.
The team will fly from Islamabad to Harare, where they will take part in a tri-nation series featuring Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. The opening match of the series, between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, is scheduled for December 25, while Pakistan will play its first match against Afghanistan on December 27 in Harare.
The squad traveling to Zimbabwe has seen a minor adjustment: Hafeez Ehsan, the additional spinner for the Asia Cup, has been replaced by fast bowler Umar Zia. The tri-nation series final is scheduled for January 6.
Following the tri-series, Pakistan’s Under-19 team will compete in the Under-19 World Cup, which is scheduled from January 15 to February 6. The team aims to carry forward its Asia Cup momentum and achieve further international success.
