Usman Dar moves LHC to remove name from Exit Control List

1 min read

Former federal minister Usman Dar has approached the Lahore High Court seeking removal of his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).

A bench headed by Justice Sajid Mahmood Sethi issued notices to the Interior Secretary and the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), asking them to submit a response by tomorrow.

Dar, represented by Advocate Abu Zar Salman Niazi, stated in the petition that his name had been removed from the ECL in 2024. He alleged that the federal government reinstated his name on the list without providing him an opportunity to be heard. The petition requests the court to direct the authorities to remove Usman Dar’s name from the Exit Control List.
