The implementation of the e-Office system across federal ministries has resulted in annual savings of Rs9.5 billion for the government, while significantly reducing delays in official decision-making, according to official documents.
Government data shows that the average processing time for summaries has dropped from 25 days to just four days, marking an overall reduction of 84 percent. Officials said the improvement reflects the impact of transitioning from manual paperwork to a fully digital workflow.
According to an official document available with WealthPK, the e-Office system has eliminated paper-based processes, leading to substantial savings on paper, printing, courier services and manpower costs. The move has also enhanced transparency and traceability within government operations.
The e-Office system has now been expanded across the federal government, with more than 350 public sector organizations onboarded. Out of 39 federal divisions, 35 have completed full implementation, indicating near-universal adoption at the federal level.
In parallel, the Apostille Attestation System, described by officials as a fully digital platform compliant with the Hague Convention, has also delivered significant results. The system has facilitated services for 255,835 citizens and verified 633,877 documents to date, streamlining document authentication for both domestic and international use.
Officials said the digital transformation of government processes is aimed at improving efficiency, reducing operational costs and providing faster services to citizens, while minimizing human intervention and administrative delays.
