Pakistan crushes India to win U19 Asia Cup final

Pakistan produced a commanding performance to defeat India in the final of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, securing their first title in the tournament’s history.

Chasing Pakistan’s total of 348, India’s batting lineup collapsed, finishing all out for 156 in 26.2 overs. Dipesh Devindern, batting at number 10, was the top scorer with 36, while opener Vibhe Suryavanshi contributed 26 runs.

For Pakistan, Ali Raza took four wickets, while Mohammad Siyam, Abdul Subhan, and Huzaifa Ahsan claimed two wickets each.

Earlier, Pakistan scored 347 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 50 overs. Opener Sameer Minhas played a sensational innings of 172, supported by Ahmed Hussain with 56 and Usman Khan with 35 runs. From the Indian bowling side, Dipesh Devindern took three wickets, Khelan Patel and Haneel Patel claimed two each, and Kanishk Chauhan picked one wicket.

India had won the toss and opted to field first. Prior to the match, Pakistan captain Farhan Yousuf expressed confidence in his team, saying the players were fully prepared and determined to fight hard for the title.

Pakistan’s Under-19 team has previously won the ICC Under-19 World Cup twice but had never claimed the Asia Cup. The 2012 edition saw Pakistan and India being declared joint champions. This year’s victory marks a historic first Asia Cup title for Pakistan’s Under-19 side, drawing widespread attention from fans across the region.
