Intermittent rainfall has begun in northern and central areas of Pakistan, with meteorological authorities forecasting more rain and snow over the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, hill stations including Murree, Galiyat and other upper mountainous areas are likely to experience both rainfall and snowfall. Meanwhile, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and surrounding districts are also expected to receive rainfall.

Snowfall is predicted in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, while several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to witness rain. Northern parts of Balochistan are also expected to experience precipitation.

Authorities have warned that snow accumulation in hilly regions could lead to road closures, disrupting travel. Tourists have been advised to avoid non-essential travel during this period.

The Meteorological Department has urged residents and commuters to take precautionary measures to ensure safety amid adverse weather conditions.
