Pakistan and Tajikistan have agreed to enhance cooperation in cultural and media sectors and promote stronger public engagement between the two countries.
Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar met with Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture, Satarion Matlubkhon Amonzoda to discuss bilateral collaboration, digital media partnerships, media relations and the preservation and promotion of shared literary and cultural heritage.
The Tajik minister is on a special visit to Pakistan to mark the celebration of Tajik Cultural Week. Both leaders emphasized the importance of further strengthening cultural and media ties, as well as public engagement initiatives between the two nations.
Minister Tarar congratulated Tajikistan on organizing the Pak-Tajik Cultural Week. He highlighted that the event was agreed upon during a previous meeting between Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Programs like the Pak-Tajik Cultural Festival are expected to create a strong foundation for people-to-people contacts and expanded cultural collaboration.
