Cricket Australia confirms Pakistani players will complete BBL season

1 min read

Cricket Australia Chief Executive Todd Greenberg has assured that Pakistani players contracted for the Big Bash League (BBL) will be able to complete the full season despite Pakistan’s upcoming T20 tour of Sri Lanka.

Greenberg, while discussing the players’ BBL commitments and the Pakistan tour, said the T20 series will proceed as scheduled, with exact dates yet to be announced. He added that discussions with players regarding the Pakistan tour will take place after the Ashes series.

He also noted that players will be fully briefed on security arrangements. Greenberg recalled his previous visit to Pakistan in 2022, describing it as a positive experience. The assurance addresses concerns that the Sri Lanka tour in January might have prevented Pakistani players from completing the BBL season.
