The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning about the likely increase in smog across several regions of Pakistan.
According to an NDMA spokesperson, higher levels of smog are expected in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Sheikhupura. The alert also includes Rawalpindi, Islamabad, several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper regions of Sindh.
The spokesperson added that the smog could disrupt traffic flow in many cities. NDMA officials confirmed that precautionary measures are being implemented to manage potential risks and ensure public safety.
