Customs Quetta seizes smuggled goods worth Rs240 million

Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized smuggled goods worth approximately Rs240 million during a series of operations carried out on the basis of confirmed intelligence, officials said.

According to Customs authorities, the confiscated items included skimmed milk powder, auto spare parts, flavoured pan masala, power banks and a Hino truck. The action was taken on the directives of the Collector Customs Enforcement Quetta following credible information about the storage of smuggled goods.

Teams of the Collectorate, with the assistance of other law enforcement agencies, conducted coordinated raids on multiple warehouses in different areas of Quetta and recovered the contraband.

All seized goods and vehicles have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings have been initiated under the Customs Act, 1969.

The Federal Board of Revenue said that strict and decisive measures against illegal economic activities would continue across the country as part of an ongoing crackdown on smuggling.
