The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for Men’s and Women’s Player of the Month for November, highlighting the impact of spinners and all-rounders in recent matches.
For the men’s category, South Africa’s experienced spinner Simon Harmer, Bangladesh left-arm spinner Tej Islam, and Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz have been nominated. Harmer and Tej Islam played key roles in their teams’ Test series wins against India and Ireland, respectively.
Mohammad Nawaz earned his nomination with standout performances in the recently concluded tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. In the ODI series against Sri Lanka, he scored 104 runs at a strike rate of 114.28 and took 4 wickets. In T20Is, he contributed 52 runs and claimed 11 wickets at an average of 12.72.
In the series final against Sri Lanka, Nawaz’s 3-wicket haul for just 17 runs helped Pakistan secure victory and earned him the Player of the Series award.
The ICC will announce the winners after evaluating the nominees’ performances across formats.
