Pakistan held its first private-sector Drone Technology Expo at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), showcasing the latest developments in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and counter-UAS technologies.

Organized in collaboration with Drone Tech X and NUST, the expo featured seminars on UAS and counter-UAS systems on December 3 and 4, supported by the Ministry of Defence Production and DEPO. Over 50 companies participated in the opening ceremony, demonstrating Pakistan’s growing expertise in drone design, development, and operational support.

The event provided a platform for practical demonstrations of domestic skills in building and supporting UAS technologies. It also strengthened collaboration between academic institutions and industry, fostering connections between public and private sector stakeholders in the rapidly expanding drone technology field.

Officials noted that the expo aims to serve as an ongoing forum for innovation, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships within Pakistan’s drone and defense technology ecosystem.
