Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed solidarity with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, over the recent cyclone-induced floods that caused heavy loss of life and property.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim today.
The Prime Minister, on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan as well as on his personal behalf, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Malaysian Prime Minister over the loss of precious lives and damages done to property as a result of heavy rainfall, floods and landslides in the wake of the recent cyclone.
While offering prayers for those who had lost their lives and wishing an early recovery of the displaced and injured, the Prime Minister conveyed complete solidarity with the Malaysian people at this time of grief.
He offered Pakistan’s full support for relief and rescue operations as well as any assistance that Malaysia requires to deal with the natural disaster.
Anwar Ibrahim thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his kind and thoughtful telephonic call, which he said reflected the close brotherly ties between Pakistan and Malaysia.
