Veteran playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has filed a request through his lawyer Mudassir Chaudhry to register a case against Hasan Shah, accused of circulating an inappropriate video of the writer on social media.
The petition was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Kashif, who has sought a report from the police and adjourned proceedings until December 16.
According to the filing, Hasan Shah’s bail in a separate NCCIA case was approved, but he allegedly submitted forged bail documents in court. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar claimed that he submitted a complaint at Islampura Police Station, but no action was taken.
The petitioner requested the court to order the immediate registration of a case against Hasan Shah. The accusations revolve around the creation and dissemination of an inappropriate video, which has sparked controversy on social media.
