1 min read

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has barred 10 officials, including two additional directors, from traveling abroad in connection with a corruption scandal at the National Counter Corruption and Intelligence Authority (NCCIA), sources confirmed.

Authorities have also added three frontmen to the Prohibition from Leaving the Country (PNIL) list to prevent potential escape.

Sources said the FIA has obtained bank records and financial assistance details for all suspects. Following this, three teams have been formed to carry out arrests.

According to sources, four suspects have voluntarily contacted the FIA for inclusion in the investigation. Meanwhile, the Senate Standing Committee on Interior has requested a progress report on the case for its upcoming session.

Officials described the measures as part of a broader effort to ensure accountability and prevent financial misconduct within the NCCIA.
