BEIJING: The formation and development of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization have contributed Chinese wisdom and solutions to the global sustainable development predicament, according to a latest think tank report.

This thought represents a deep understanding of the laws of evolution of human civilization and the changing landscape of world development as well as a crystallization of profound thinkings about the way to promote global sustainable development, said the report tilted “Joining Hands to Advance Toward an Eco-Friendly Modernization — The Theoretical Contributions and Practical Leadership of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization to Global Sustainable Development.”

The thought offers a brand-new vision about making strides toward an eco-friendly modernization, and will surely guide human society in striding confidently toward a clean, beautiful, and prosperous future, said the report, which was co-authored by the National High-Level Think Tank of Xinhua News Agency and the Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.

The thought has opened a new horizon for sustainable development theories, achieving the innovative development and creative reshaping of the sustainable development theory and representing a scientific ideological system guiding global sustainable development, according to the report.

The thought has provided a new pathway to modernization in the new era, contributed a new solution to global environmental governance, and created a new form of human civilization, it said.
