During a hearing on a medical bail petition at the Islamabad High Court, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani made light-hearted remarks about the effects of extended jail stays on prisoners’ health.
Speaking during proceedings, Justice Kayani said, “A person who spends a long time in jail often comes out on medical bail, and once out, he becomes completely fine.” He further added that he has traveled to other countries without experiencing similar health issues, highlighting the unusual trend he has observed in domestic cases.
The remarks came while the court was reviewing a case filed for release on medical grounds, illustrating a rare mix of humor and judicial observation in legal proceedings.
