Pakistan emerged champions of the Hong Kong Sixes after defeating Kuwait by 43 runs in a high-scoring final on Saturday.

Kuwait won the toss and opted to field first, but Pakistan made full use of the batting conditions, posting a formidable 135 for 3 in six overs. Skipper Abbas Afridi led from the front with a blistering 52 before retiring hurt.

Abdul Samad struck 42, while Khawaja Nafeh contributed 22. Shahid Aziz was dismissed without scoring, while Muaz Sadaqat (10) and Mohammad Shahzad (4) remained unbeaten to finish the innings strongly.

Chasing a stiff target, Kuwait faltered and were bowled out for 92. Meht Bhawsar top-scored with 33, followed by Adnan Idrees with 30, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to build on the momentum.

Pakistan’s bowlers maintained control throughout the innings. Muaz Sadaqat claimed 3 wickets, while Mohammad Shahzad, Abbas Afridi and Abdul Samad picked up a wicket each to seal a comprehensive victory.

Pakistan’s all-round performance capped their dominant run in the tournament, securing the Sixes title in style.
