Pakistan Railways has suspended the Jaffar Express train service operating between Quetta and Peshawar, effective from today until 13 November, citing operational requirements.
According to railway officials, the suspension is temporary and has been enforced to address operational issues and improve service standards. The administration stated that steps are being taken to facilitate passengers and enhance the system, after which the train service will be restored.
The Jaffar Express is a key long-distance passenger train connecting Balochistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The temporary suspension is expected to cause inconvenience to travellers relying on inter-provincial rail service.
Meanwhile, the Chaman Passenger Train, running between Chaman and Quetta, will continue to operate as per its regular schedule.
