The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction of 48 paisa per unit in electricity prices, according to an official notification issued today.
The reduction comes under the monthly fuel adjustment mechanism and will be applied to bills for the current month. The cut in tariffs will benefit all electricity consumers nationwide, including K-Electric customers.
NEPRA estimates that the reduction will provide over Rs 5 billion in relief to electricity users across Pakistan.
