Saddar Beroni Police have arrested a two-member female gang allegedly involved in multiple thefts committed while posing as domestic workers.

According to police, the women secured employment as household maids and allegedly stole valuables within days of starting work. The case was registered five months ago at the Saddar Beroni Police Station.

Police said they recovered Rs 750,000 from the suspects, an amount believed to be the proceeds from the sale of stolen gold jewellery. The arrested women had gone into hiding after the theft, but were traced and apprehended using human intelligence and technical sources, officials added.

SP Saddar Muhammad Nabeel Khokhar stated that the accused women would be sent to court with solid evidence to ensure legal proceedings.
