Oman has been included in the Junior Hockey World Cup after Pakistan refused to travel to India citing security concerns, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has confirmed.
The mega junior hockey event will be held in Chennai from November 28, with the final scheduled for December 10.
For the first time in the tournament’s history, both the men’s and women’s editions will feature 24 teams each, marking a significant expansion in global participation.
In the previous edition held in Malaysia, Germany clinched the world champion title.
