Pakistan’s youth men’s volleyball team has advanced to the semi-finals of the Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain after a series of strong performances in the tournament.
Pakistan began its campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Uzbekistan in the group stage. The team continued its winning form by defeating host nation Bahrain 3-0, securing the top position in the group and progressing to the knockout round.
In the next stage, Pakistan overcame Saudi Arabia by 3-1, with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 23-25, and 26-24. The win confirmed Pakistan’s place in the semi-finals, where the team will face the winner of the match between Afghanistan and Indonesia.
Key contributions came from players Khizar Hayat, Mohammad Yahya, and Mohammad Anas, who delivered strong attacking play and consistent defense throughout the matches. The team’s performance reflected solid preparation and coordination under the guidance of head coach Saeed Ahmed Khan and team manager Naseer Ahmed.
With momentum on their side, Pakistan now aims to continue its winning streak and compete for a podium finish in the tournament.
