Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 74 new confirmed dengue cases during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases in the province to 304, according to the latest update issued by the provincial health department.
The Health Department report states that the overall number of dengue cases recorded in the province since the start of the year has now reached 3,939. During the same period, 1,628 patients have required hospitalization, while 3,633 patients have recovered from the virus.
Health officials confirmed that 23 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the last 24 hours. Currently, 33 patients remain under treatment in various healthcare facilities across the province.
The health department further noted that two deaths have been reported due to dengue-related complications so far this year.
Authorities have urged the public to adopt preventive measures, including eliminating standing water, using mosquito repellents, and ensuring proper sanitation to help control the spread of the virus.
