Pakistan Super League (PSL) Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer has confirmed that two new teams will be added to the PSL lineup from Season 11.
Speaking on the official PSL podcast, Salman Naseer said that the sale process for the new franchise teams will begin in November. He noted that tough competition is expected among interested buyers, as several parties have already expressed strong interest in securing ownership rights.
He mentioned that the Terms of Reference (TORs) for the valuation process had been finalised with existing franchise owners in March. The valuation work, he said, will be completed in the coming days, after which the offered market value will be communicated to the franchises.
The PSL CEO also said that the league is considering holding matches across six venues for the upcoming season, as part of efforts to expand the tournament’s reach and fan engagement.
The expansion is seen as part of the PSL’s long-term development plan, aiming to broaden competition, commercial value and regional representation within Pakistan’s premier T20 cricket tournament.
