The Sindh Information Department has completed four film projects, including three documentaries and one feature film, which will soon be released for public viewing. The projects aim to highlight Sindh’s culture, history, and social values.
The decision was made during a meeting of the department’s Content and Production Board, chaired by Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also attended the meeting, along with board members including Qazi Asad Abid, actor Zhalay Sarhadi, Secretary Information Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon, Director General Information Muazzam Pirzada, and other officials.
During the briefing, officials noted that the completed film projects reflect the cultural richness and historical narrative of the province. The board reviewed the content, production quality, and social impact of the films, while also discussing strategies for marketing and public outreach.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said the Sindh government considers modern media and filmmaking as important tools for promoting the province’s heritage and public awareness. He stated that these projects will not only help present a positive image of Sindh but also create opportunities for emerging filmmakers and actors.
He added that the government is investing in arts, media, and filmmaking to showcase Sindh’s cultural identity at national and international levels.
The board also agreed to present the completed projects for public screening soon and to continue receiving proposals for future film initiatives.
