The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) has launched a Specialized Digital Skills Training of Trainers Programme across Pakistan, aimed at equipping young trainers with cutting-edge digital expertise to meet global market demands.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) headquarters today, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said that in the first phase, 200 trainers will receive online training in artificial intelligence (AI), e-commerce, digital marketing, and data analytics.

He said the initiative, launched under the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan Vision, marks “a significant step toward empowering youth with globally recognized digital competencies.”

The program is being implemented in collaboration with NAVTTC, Uni Services International, and ITMC China, reflecting Pakistan’s growing digital cooperation with China. Trainers completing the program will receive joint certifications from leading institutions in both countries.

Rana Mashhood also announced that through the ‘Practice of Skills’ platform, free digital learning accounts will be provided to Pakistani youth and freelancers, promoting digital literacy and enhancing their access to online learning tools.

He added that the project, developed under a public-private partnership model, will help modernize Pakistan’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system, aligning it with international standards.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Youth Programme, NAVTTC, TEVTAs, and the Ministry of Education and Professional Training, along with national and international partners.
