
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested an international drug smuggler at Islamabad International Airport who was allegedly supplying narcotics to students in educational institutions.
According to ANF officials, the suspect arrived from Thailand and was taken into custody upon landing. A search of his luggage led to the recovery of 11.182 kilograms of weed and 3.616 kilograms of cannabis, with an estimated street value of over Rs10 million.
Investigators said the accused intended to smuggle the drugs to Azad Kashmir and distribute them among students. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to selling narcotics to fellow students in Dhudyal, Azad Kashmir.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
The ANF reiterated its commitment to keeping Pakistan’s educational institutions and youth free from drugs, vowing to intensify nationwide operations against narcotics smuggling networks.
